The photography exhibition
We have been thinking about this photography exhibition in Kardamili a lot since last year.
Our wish was to combine two of our biggest loves, the bicycle and photography.
Endless kilometres on our wheels and innumerable snapshots.
During a ride on the mountain or the city, a trip or a night stroll.
The bicycle as a means of transport, a source of pleasure and balance, a tool breaking its own limits during a race, or, what is more, the bicycle as a form of Art.
From February 15th, 2011, our website www.2407m.com, will host the "planet bicycle" exhibition.
Terms and conditions
The procedure is simple.
From February 15th to April 30th, 2011, you can send us a photo of a bicycle or of a bicycle suggested (indirectly) in the frame.
Coloured, black & white, trippin', urban, abstract, you name it, but definitely cycling.
In order to participate you need to register as members of our website. Once you log in with your nickname and password you will be able to upload your photo, in a high resolution jpeg format up to 10MB* , as well as (optional) give a title or the place/time of your picture.
The photographs will be published in a special folder on our website following the order we receive the photos and the name of the photographer will be displayed on them.
It will be a constantly updated internet photography exhibition.
April 30th, will be the deadline of sending in your photograph.
Upload period extended. New deadline 8/5/2011
In the month to follow, from May 8thst to June 8th, all members of the website (whether participants or not) will be able to vote the photos they consider the best (...5 photos each).
Instead of having a special judging committee, we decided to give the participants and the friends-members of the site the opportunity to single out the best 25 photos.
Throughout the voting procedure everyone will able to see how many votes each photo has collected.
June 8th is the last day of voting.
2407 Mountain Activities will print the 25 photos that stood out and will display them in Kardamili, in summer 2011 (the exact place and time will be announced in spring 2011).
During the exhibition a parallel projection of all the received photos will also take place.
The best seven photographs (7) will receive prizes that will be announced within the next days:
